Slide AR is an Augmented Reality iOS app developed by myself and Alberto Taiuti. It allows 2D artists to view and showcase their layered artwork in augmented reality without having prior programming knowledge.
Slide AR was the first of its kind in the Augmented Reality space and we received an overwhelmingly positive response from users.
The idea for this app first came about as Alberto was experimenting with ARKit on iOS and I wanted to be able to showcase my art in Augmented Reality. After posting a video of the prototype online which went viral, many artists responded that they also wanted to be able to do the same and so we decided to create a fully-fledged app.
I designed the UX/UI and system flow of the app, as well as all branding and marketing assets, while Alberto implemented it natively on iOS.
Slide AR allows you to use either static or animated layers, edit layer orders in live editing mode, and display slides in depth as well as popping up. Our users continue to create astonishing Augmented Reality artworks with these features.
Available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad devices here.
